Roofers in Slough

Roofing, leadwork and stonework across Slough and Langley, Cippenham, Chalvey, Upton, Wexham.

In short

Slough is four miles from our base and one of the areas we work most. It is a town of inter-war and post-war housing, so the common jobs are ageing concrete tile roofs, failed flat roofs on extensions, and chimney stacks that need repointing or taking down.

Roofing in Slough

Slough grew fast either side of the war and the roofs reflect it. Great stretches of Cippenham, Langley and Wexham are 1930s to 1960s semis and terraces under concrete interlocking tiles, and those tiles are now brittle and porous enough that the nail fixings and the mortar bedding fail before the tile does. The older streets around Chalvey and Upton have Victorian property with natural slate and tall stacks, where the usual call is lead flashing that has been patched with mastic once too often. Almost every road has rear extensions and garages with felt flat roofs from the seventies and eighties, and those are the single most common thing we are asked to strip and re-cover in this town.

Yes. We are based in Iver, so Slough is well inside the area we work, and we cover Langley, Cippenham, Chalvey, Upton, Wexham with it.

How quickly can you get to Slough?

It depends what else we have on that week. Call or message and you will get an honest answer about when we can get to you, rather than a date we cannot keep.

No. Quotes are free and there is no obligation to go ahead.

Do you do stonework in Slough as well as roofing?

Both, and both in house. Chimney stacks, copes, skews and stone elevations are done by the same people who do the roof, which is the reason stonework is in the name.
